Grades 10‑12  Credits‑1  Pre‑Req:“C” or higher in Media Arts 1   1 term

This class will focus on a wide range of alternative photo techniques such as negative and print manipulation for achieving special effects.  New techniques will involve solarization, sandwiching, double exposure, and collage.  Students will develop both technical and artistic skills as they study abstraction and theme assignments.  Color will also be introduced through toning and adding oil base paint to work.  Concepts will be taught through the study of art history, criticism, aesthetics, and production techniques.
