Grades 10‑12               Credits‑1          Pre‑Req: Painting I                     1 term

Students should have a good background course in drawing as a basis for Painting.  Various types of paints will be explored, with the students buying most of the supplies.  The historical timelines studied will be Post-impressionism, Expressionism, and  Cubism.  Concepts will be taught through the study of art history, criticism, aesthetics, and production techniques.  Oil paint will be the primary medium used and students will need to purchase these supplies at the bookstore.
