Life Without Limbs
            Life can be very difficult without limbs. However, there are people who have managed to do so. Nick Vujicic and Stephen Hawking manage to live a successful life even with their disability. Nick Vujicic was born without limbs and Stephen Hawking developed ALS which caused him to lose almost all of his motor functions. Today, Vujicic is a motivational speaker and Hawking is a theoretical physicist and author. Modern technological inventions have assisted people like them greatly. Hawking’s notable speech generating device allows him to write down his speech ahead of time and project it through the device at a later time. Nick Vujicic started his own non-profit organization, Life Without Limbs, and gave speeches about disabilities, hope, and finding meaning in life. There are alternative input devices for people with disabilities. One can use speech recognition technology to control a computer. A person could also use head movements to control devices. Another way to give input is to use the mouth or breath. One other method is to use an eye tracking device. Eye tracking is available to the average user to use.
