"Many people are very creative. There are artists that come up with so many different ways to express themselves or capture beauty. I think though, that some artists should get out of their comfort zone and be willing to try something new. For example I am researching about how people can draw beautiful works of art with nothing except their mouths! To me, that is amazing. There are many different techniques to creating art with your mouth. You can use your teeth, tongue, and cheeks to help yourself draw. I tried to draw a few pictures with my mouth and I must say it is a lot harder than it looks! One thing I found interesting about this subject is that there are many people who draw with there mouths. A man named Ron Heagy broke his neck the day before his 18th birthday and became a quadriplegic, or a person paralyzed from the neck down. I will talk about him in my presentation, but what he accomplishes is truly incredible. It really amazes me how people can adapt to certain situations so they can continue to do what they love. When I was trying to draw with my mouth I discovered many things and techniques that are useful. For example, when you are first starting, it is best to grip the pencil with your back teeth firmly and use your whole head to draw. If you grip the pencil with your front teeth, then your grip is not as firm. The idea is to start to think that you are still drawing with your hand, for some reason thinking that helped me draw a little better. It is also best to weigh the paper down with something if you are set on not using anything except your mouth. The best thing to do, when you are first starting to use this technique, is to take it slow. It is very difficult to draw fast. I tested it and it turns out that when you draw fast the lines are much more wobbly and the picture does not turn out even close to what you wanted. When you draw slow and take your time the picture will turn out better. I think it is a really wonderful thing for artists to get out of there comfort zone, and try new styles and techniques of art."
